The Central Laboratory of Environmental and Metrology, operating under the NAMEM, has officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Korean company Kentec.

The primary objective of this collaboration is to ensure the continuous and reliable monitoring of air pollution as part of Mongolia’s national environmental quality monitoring network. Under the agreement, the parties will focus on the maintenance and calibration of monitoring instruments and equipment, as well as improving the overall performance and operational efficiency of the national monitoring system.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to cooperate as follows.

The parties will collaborate to ensure the continuity and sustainability of Mongolia’s national air pollution monitoring network.

Maintenance and technical assistance will be provided for the instruments and equipment of the automatic air quality monitoring stations.

Information and expertise related to air pollution monitoring technologies and control measures will be shared and exchanged between the parties.

Joint training programs will be organized to enhance the skills and capacity of local engineers and technicians in the operation and maintenance of air quality control systems.

Additional mutually agreed-upon collaborations, projects, and programs will be undertaken to support the effective implementation of this Memorandum of Understanding.
